We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2016 is The Foxton Centre, Preston.
For over 40 years The Foxton Centre has been working with rough sleepers, street sex workers, young people, people with alcohol abuse issues and other marginalised people in the community who need support. The centre is currently running 12 different projects including:
- Assertive Outreach
- Community Café
- Lune Street Drop In
- Greenfingers Allotment
- Off the Street Fund
- Streetlink
- Wet Garden
- Youthlink
- No Second Night Out
PaSCoE works in partnership with local charities with the main aim of providing donations, raising funds and assisting the charities in whatever way they feel will make a difference to the charity.
We also believe it is beneficial for staff and the charity to be actively involved in the charity work and in 2016 we have committed to PaSCoE staff providing a minimum of 250 hours voluntary work at The Foxton Centre.
We also aim to raise the profile of the chosen charity to our clients and professional contacts via our website, e-bulletins and social media platforms.
For 2016 we have already started planning a calendar of fundraising events – with some of the PaSCoE staff and Foxton staff already in training for the Coniston Water Half Marathon in June – more details to follow!
