Achilles Link-up is the UK rail industry’s pre-qualification scheme. Achilles Link-up is recognised as best practise in qualifying suppliers, and is used extensively by buyer organisations to manage risk and comply with legislation. Achilles Link-up is governed by a RISQS (Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) Board compromising of cross-industry representation, and the RISQS Board members contribute to the development of the service.

Link-up will shortly be changing its name to RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme).

RISQS is the supplier pre-qualification service used by buyers of all products and services throughout the GB rail industry supporting Network Rail, Transport for London, passenger and freight train operators, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and many other buying organisations in the management of supply chain risk.

RISQS provides a fair, open and transparent third party qualification process and is the preferred route for suppliers to engage with their customers.
