PaSCoE have been appointed as lead designer for the Yorkshire Water Holme Styes Reservoir dam stability improvement works.

Studies have shown the existing downstream slope of the dam has an unacceptable factor of safety against failure and therefore requires remedial works.

Working with Eric Wright Civil Engineer we are designing the embankment improvement works together with an extension of the existing draw off tunnel which will extend through the new embankment, new drainage, site access roads, and a new steel access bridge.

In additional to the permanent works design we are also designing the temporary works which includes safe access tracks down the mitre of the dam, wall stability, and dam stability assessment under various loading/construction conditions.
