A chartered civil engineer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with wide ranging experience as design manager and team leader for both large and small scale civil, structural, and geotechnical projects in the UK and overseas.
He is chairman of BS8002 Code of Practice for Earth Retaining Structures, and a commitee memeber of BS8004 Code of Practice for Foundations, and BS8006 Code of Practice for Reinforced/Strengthened Soils and other fills. Paul has authored and presented numerous technical papers throughout the UK and abroad and enjoys teaching and sharing ways of tackling problems using innovative techniques through workshops and presentations.
Paul enjoys meeting and forming working relationships with new and existing clients and makes the most of every opportunity to get away from his desk – but only if there’s a ready supply of strong black coffee.
Paul is a Trustee of The Foxton Centre in Preston which provides support and assistance to the homeless and disadvantaged.
He enjoys (if that’s the right word) following Middlesbrough Football Club, long distance running, contemporary art, and Coen Brothers films.
